Hunting gold in southwest PA

Hey all .....

New to the site....

Im in wilmington, NC and do a lot of beach hunting and also relic hunting..

I visit somerset county, Berlin, PA yearly and wanted to know the best places to look for some gold...

I have a new MXT and works great for coin/jewelry and relic hunting..

I am starting to gather information now for my next trip

any infor or a direction for me to look would be appreciated...

Hey Treasure Seeker, don't think you will find any gold in that area. I have never heard of any being found there. Here is a site you can check out(being a treasure seeker, I would think you already have found it). It has lots of info about different areas in Pa. Good Luck!

There is one old newspaper article posted on the web talking about gold found near Meyersdale PA inside a coal/iron mine.

Coal of course is king and there are billions to made still mining it.

It is easier to find fossils in this area.
