Hey Matt..did you get my PM from long ago?? Good to see you posting again. Jim (JSgoldny-New York Gold)) was trying to locate you because he got a few members who were in your general area and wanted to see if you'd like to be contacted by them for an outing out together. Hope all is well with you....Sue

North Carolina huh..now I'm jealous, lol..you won't be too far from where my older brother lives, just west of Winston-Salem in a little town called Lewisville. I hope to get down there sometime this summer for a week or so..I'll be prospecting, gem & fossil collecting and metal detecting to my heart's content..can't wait!! . I'll do some research on places for you to checkout to get cons and email it to ya, how soon are you heading down?? I'll tell Jim and send him your email..he'll he happy to hear from ya. We talk a couple of times a day and I get up to see him as much as I can during the warm months..we fossil hunt together. We'll have to meet up and get out for an outing sometime..I just won a goldsucker hand dredge on Jim's site and I'm anixous to break it in.

A new member recently joined up and last weekend him and a buddy went to the Wind Gap area for panning and he was bummed out he didn't find anything, he's from Long Island, a newbie and has the fever, lol...care if I pass your email on to him?

Hi Matt..I haven't gotten any more feed back than what I've already sent you..wish I had gotten more responses than that but looks like you'll be in all the wrong areas as far as finding gold goes down there..have a safe and wonderful trip anyways. They say gold is where you find it..heck I'd check the creeks where you'll be anyways, you never know..have fun with the family. Let me know if you'd be interested in taking a newbie out and show him the ropes..he recently bought some con's off the net and now he's got the fever bad, lol.

Well,,, new to this site, but not far from Windgap.. Hey, it doesn;t have to be Windgap, I found a couple of grains near Stroudsburg in a stream. I ve been panning for many a year, especially in Canada (Northern Quebec) in Gold Country, pulled out over an ounce over 3 days near an old abandoned gold mine in a place called Fish Lake. The stuff is in the quartz, so I had to first pulvarize the quartz and then pan. I live near Belvidere NJ,,, and would like to correspond with any like minded goldpanners in the area. I been searching this area for years,,, and I know its around. lar

Hi and welcome to the forum Panhandler. I'm from the north-central Pa region, a little place called McElhattan and I've found small specks of gold locally here.
